site times out when deleting a product

Using Joomla 3.10.5
VM 3.8.8
OPC 2.0.419
Customers are complaining that they try to delete a product from the cart and it freezes up the browser or times out.
When I disable the OPC plugin, all works as it should.
Please advise.
