Hi,

OPC has the ability to present a checkbox agreeing with the sites terms and privacy policy. However, now Joomla 3.9.0 has its own user privacy consent plugin that can be forced upon registration, and the consent is recorded and tracked per GDPR requirements. Currently, The plugin jumps in just subsequent to a new user registration to make the user consent to the site's privacy policy on a separate user profile update page.

Our OPC is currently configured to redirect user registrations to Virtuemart. Will Virtuemart and OPC integrate with this new Joomla 3.9.0 privacy consent plugin? Until they do, I'm not sure how to use the Joomla privacy plugin without the plugin crashing the transaction when it redirects to its profile update with the requirement to consent. The plugin doesn't care that the user already agreed to the privacy terms with OPC's checkbox since it is not tracking that.

hello allen, joomla's GDPR implementation right now is not compatible with any 3rd party registraton system (any ecommerce, or any checkout solution, or other extensions doing the registration with own field handling) because of the usage of it's own redirects and pages.

since you already pass all GDPR requiements with our GDPR features, you do not need to use Joomla's GDPR feature.

we'll be trying to find best solution how to utilize ths core feature, but this is not critical right now as all customers that needed GDPR had implemented it back in May. Joomla is more than a year after deadline with this feature and every templater or checkout provider got it's own implementation now.
