Placeholder missing after update

Postby webface » Wed Oct 31, 2018 9:58 am

Hi!
When i updated the OPC to the version 2.0.372.261018, my custom HML5 placeholders disappeared, and the error message changed to an unreadable format.
On the admin page the setting is correct, please see the attached picrures.

What could be the problem?
Thanks for your help!

hello, we changed the encoding from previous urlencode to no encoding now. this change is caused by our work to move from file configuration to database configuration because of too many options added to shopper field options.

please update the texts at backend and let us know if they still are incorrectly shown at front end.

we are going to release v373 soon which also fixes:
- opc's config's shopper fields select placeholders
- business selector when used with select drop down
- country config (for regex + placeholders) when set per country did not get triggered when country filter is not used

best regards, stan

hello, i had checked and adjusted the code in opc in this matter in opc 375 version, but it may require to:
- click save in opc backend at first
- visit the shopper fields
- click save at the shopper fields which got the configuration enabled

let us know if this is all OK on 375 version.

thank you, best regards, stan

hello, can you pls write me to our email at support@rupostel.com

i can check your site directly.

the problem is that previous OPC's stored this value in a file and the strings were urlencoded. now the strings are stored in the database and there are a few steps which opc does to migrate them from the orignal format to the new format.

i would like to see your site to learn where the migration process failed.

the very important step upon opc creating a new config is to click save after opc installation. if you missed this step upon any opc installation it could had missed the migration and thus it could had skippped conversion of these values, but without checking your site i cannot advise further in this matter.

best regards, stan
