No order confirmation email sent after checkout via PayPal

Hello,

We are using Rupostel One Page Checkout 2.0.284.260215, Joomal 3.3.6, Virtumart 3.0.2, PHP v 5.4.4, Apache, Inerface cgi-fcgi.

We have an issue with Paypal orders not sending emails to both Vendor and customers. Customer receives receipt email from Paypal, but no order confirmation from shopping cart and no email of order to Vendor. Within Virtuemart, the order status is Confirmed. When charges are refunded via Paypal, Vendor receives a refund email.

The other payment gateway that I use works fine. It sends email confirmations to customers and vendor.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.

hello, i suggest to update vm3 to a later version as there were a few changes in this matter there.

the most important question here is - does the order status gets updated when the user payes in paypal?

if yes, then you should make sure that the resulting order status "confirmed" usually is assigned to both shopper and vendor settings in vm3:

pls check your paypal's IPN history (in old paypal view) and see what is the resulting http status (should be 200). if you see code 500, i suggest to try our "fatal catcher" plugin from our site:

most of the email issues in VM are caused by improper Vendor settings -> are you getting any errors when you open opc backend. The vendor must be perfectly configured for the emails to be working properly.

example: if you vendor's email is using gmail address, your server may block outgoing email for foreign domains, so you can only use your registered email addresses.
