simple question about update

hi friends,

I use the opc 2.0.266.271014 and want to upgrade to opc 2.0.271.0.27112014.

questions:

1) simply reinstall using joomla extensions manager?
2) the settings will be preserved?
3) I've renamed theme clean_simple to clean_simple_custom. my customizations will be kept?

hello, the proper steps are

1. make sure you rename your theme first - click rename at the display tab (it should have a _custom suffix) - you only need to do this once per all OPC lifetime
2. install with joomla installer (if you get an error, please install the mini version)
3. click save within opc backend (all configuration options are kept, but for new options you need to click the save button)
4. click save within the tracking section in case you are using it (so it saves proper config structure per installed opc version)

i suggest to use the latest opc released version - currently 274, we update the internal opc log only once upon a time, when singnificant new features are added.

in case of any issues, let us know by email. also please check latest posts at this forum in case you are experiencing any of the issues described/solved.
