Add to cart link problem

Hi!

I am having a problem with the add to cart link that i am using.

From some pages i let people add a product to the cart. The link looks like this:

/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=cart&add_id[]=115&qadd_115=1

But if someone refreshes the page, or go back and forth, then there are two products in the basket because the link will cause the basket to put another product in that same basket.

Is there a workaround for this? Can i use another link or do something different?

hello kris, it depends on what exactly you are using the link for:

1. a link directly from a K2 Item (usually a groupon type of business)
-- you can use it either with delete cart content and set the product OR just add it to the cart
2. a link from email or marketing site
-- if the campaing is just for a single product, you may enable "delete cart content and make just this product available)
-- auto coupons can be used for this one
3. else

Let us know what exactly you use the link for and what's the other settings for this feature and we either customize it for you or suggest a better config.

To answer your question, you are maybe looking for the feature to "delete the cart content" OR "do not increment quantity", pls see the below options:
