Joomla 2.5.28/Vmart 2.9.9.2 site breaks on install

A client asked me to update their aging virtuemart site today so I did that, and then I bought a new subscription to your 1 page checkout since they had it in their site before. Every time I go to install 2016 com_onepage2.0.318.zip the entire site goes crazy and is unusable (several product images appear on a white background on the home page and that's it).

The site is live, so I'm moving very cautiously here, but If I give you super admin access and ftp access can you take a look and see why it breaks? The only fix I have is to reinstall virtuemart 2.9.9.2 and the 2.6.22 aio extension. I think they'd love to have the 1 page thing back instead of using the one built into Vmart.

thanks!

Looks like I'll have to request a refund. It doesn't work and I don't want to try to troubleshoot this on a live site. I have no other Virtuemart sites or clients, so it'll go in the trash after I get a refund.

hello brian, if you needed help with this, let me know, but there is no such thing as Vmart 2.9.9.x. - maybe you are running one of the early VM3 dev releases which are no longer supported.

our solution runs on:
virtuemart 2.0.10+ on joomla 2.5.x
virtuemart 2.6.x (right now 2.6.22) on joomla 2.5.x
virtuemart 3.0.x (right now tested on 3.0.18.1) on joomla 3.x (idealy 3.6.2)

and virtuemart 3.X on Joomla 3.x which is less supported option, but still should be fully functional.

we do not support VM versions 2.9.X since they are not "stable builds" and are a mix of VM 2.6.x and VM3 and thus there is no way to support them.
