OPC not accepting state when people enter it

I get emails from customers like these:

" Trying to checkout and it won't accept North Carolina as a state, thanks for any help"

" Could not get your check out to take the state of West Virginia."

etc... 5 or 6 a day...

hello, can you pls send us your url, we can fix this fast, but this does not happen on our demos. i am sending you an email now as well.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO:
- disable admin tools from akeeba, especially their modification to the .htaccess file which prevents loading javascripts from cache directory
- disable javascript compression plugins at both template config (if gavick is used) or Rok Cache or other solution - see other threads
