where can I change/translate the userfields to german? (--> attachment) - e.g. "ZIP/ Postal Code *" --> "PLZ *"

hello, i suggest that you re-install virtuemart language files.

They are available at:
http://www.virtuemart.net/community/tra ... virtuemart

it seems you are missing some of the core virtuemart language files that render display of the fields.

you can then use the Joomla's language override where you can search and update any language text.

yes, it fixed my problem! I've forgotten to change the language file for the userfields (that's not inside the virtuemart.ini, but inside the virtuemart_shopper.ini).

hello, yes, but it should still be a part of the language installation package, so you should have not needed to change it.
