2 "Download-info" Emails instead 1

Hello,

I use authorize.net as a payment method.
I installed Joomla and I installed Virtuemart.
I enabled "Downloads" in VM configuration and I uploaded a file to be downloaded when a customer buys a specific product.
I made a test and everything was fine; I got 1 "Download-info" Email containing the link of the file.

After that, I installed the "One Page Checkout" component, and instead 1 "Download-info" Email I always receive 2 , having the same content.
If will continue like that, these won't arrive in Inbox anymore, will go straight to SPAM folder.

Please tell me what do I have to change to receive only 1 email instead 2 .

Hello Steve,
for which order status is the email sent? We recommend to change it to "C" as confirmed. Please change this setting and let us know if it worked. The stutus "P" might be loaded twice due to support of some external extensions.

In Configuration, on Downloads tab, the "Order Status which enables download" was already set to "Confirmed" . Do I also have to change this anywhere else ?

Please check it by yourself.
Install a fresh joomla + VM + One page checkout.
Use authorize.net as payment method and select the status to "confirmed" and you will see what is happening.

Same problem here. I also get two identical download mails.

Order Status which enables download = Confirmed.

Hello,
i believe this is a Virtuemart bug as it does not happen with other payment methods which we tested. We believe this fix must be done in ps_order which manages some parts of the authorize.net.

Will let you know what we find out.

It also happens with paypal selected and order total = 0. In that case the order is set to confirmed immediately and 2 download links are sent.

BTW, with order total = 0, there seems to be no check for the TOS agreement.

hello, ok, we will test this. But we need to know exactly which email was sent twice:
- order status change ps_order::notify_customer (loaded from ps_order)
- order confirmation email with all the purchased items + totals ps_checkout::email_receipt (loaded from ps_checkout or our ps_onepage)
- download ID ps_order->mail_download_id (from download id)
- user registration

On status change from C/P => S the payment is caputured

Most of these emails are loaded from ps_order::order_status_update which handles changes on a sucessfull payment.

The order confirmation email is sent when using OPC with our ps_onepage, search for email_receipt

I think it would be good if you contacted me on my live contacts as i cannot replicate these issues on my sites.

Hello,
we fixed this issue in version 1.2.312, please download and install the latest version. The order status was updated twice during the checkout, which lead to double emails for download-info.
