OPc is breaking my cart

Postby structuredwaterunit » Fri Oct 24, 2014 3:11 pm

Update edit:

Ok so summary from below steps is:
PPal express does not work
Ppal standard works and does give credit card option but I get error when I enter my address:
"We were unable to verify the billing address for this credit card. Please enter the address where you receive billing statements for this credit card below."
Authorize.net works but does not give more than one credit type in frontend and Vmart in backend does not allow me to select multiple credit card types

Step 3:
Created Pal standard payment method
placed order on frontend, see screencap in link below
http://gyazo.com/e7ffdba4d6adc0c74942262c30ec6420
It worked and gave me the option to choose a credit card and not join Paypal
and then when I clicked on that it brought me to the correct page to fill out my credit card without creating a paypal account

Step 2:
I publish Paypal express payment method
I hit add to cart in frontend
It takes me directly to the Ppal page not to the cart see link below
http://gyazo.com/48bf85f294601457c7dd635bf457a5ab

It will not show more than one creditcard in the payment on frontend
I can only selct one type of card in the backkend under payment method?

Step 1:
I turned off OPC in Vmart config
I unchecked disable OPC in rupostel
I disabled add to cart pop up in Vmart
I unpublished Ppal express payment method
I published Authorize.net payment method
I purchased one item with authorize.net and my mastercard

it worked with Rupostel OPC and authorize.net but I had paypal express turned off
http://gyazo.com/0c3de009f08acb1b9b67e08d83dfaad5

As soon as I turn on OPC it startss throwing errors you can see in the link below
http://gyazo.com/c50364ffb451a00af7216e998cfd2f97
It will now default to Paypal express everytime someone hits add to cart.

I unchecked the add to cart popup option in Vmart

As soon as I turn OPC off it works?

hello, we haven't yet tested paypal express on VM3 or OPC and as far as you ARE NOT SELLING ONLY DIGITAL PRODUCTS WITH NO TAX RULES you should not be using it as we haven't yet seen a functional implementation of the PPL Express. We will be checking PPL Express on VM3 soon.

regarding your other issues:

AUTHORIZE.NET:
- for the fix within the authorize.net's credit card listing pls update VM to the latest version here:
http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files
at the time of writing this there is 2.9.9.2 as the latest version. this will fix your credit card listing at the backend.

PAYPAL STANDARD:
http://gyazo.com/e7ffdba4d6adc0c74942262c30ec6420

this is default for paypal and it can only be changed with API based Paypal system. VM does not have the API implementation for this that would work like standard (full calculation including shipping, payment fee, taxes, discounts per already inserted address) but would enable you to show the credit card form only (it can require a PRO account in paypal as well).

IN GENERAL (paypal):
the way paypal looks for your checkout is configured within the platform (vm plugin in this case).

i do not know now how to replicate this:
http://gyazo.com/c50364ffb451a00af7216e998cfd2f97

does it show all the time, or just around the checkout? which vmcalculation plugins are you using?

to get rid of this error, you may want to disable " system - debug" on your production site.

best regards, stan
