Default currency plugin by IP country of your customer

Use only on Joomla 1.5.x Virtuemart 1.1.x

This plugin has two functions

- it redirects checkout.index (a default virtuemart checkout) to shop.cart (used by One Page Checkout) in case your template requires this modification (this feature is optional and can be enabled or disabled within plugin configuration)

- it sets default currency in your virtuemart shop according to the IP country of you site's visitor.

The list of currencies as automatically generated from your Virtuemart configuration.

How to install

0. Requires either One Page Checkout AND/OR Geolocator to be installed

1. install with joomla installer

2. enable plugin system - opc

3. press F5 - refresh your site

4. the configuration is automatically created when the plugin is enabled

5. configure the plugin

The output will be displayed in Javascript console which can be found in Google Chrome by pressing F12 or in Firefox by installing Firebug and enabling the javascript console - also accessible with F12 key.

Installation guide

1. Install with Joomla installer. Currently compatible with Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.7

2. Proceed to Extensions -> Plugins

3. Search for System - Benchmark

4. Click "Patch Now" in the plugin's parameters

5. Enable the Plugin

6. Don't forget to unpatch before uninstall

General Info

This plugin will ovewrite (and create a backup) of these two Joomla core files:

/libraries/joomla/event/dispatcher.php

/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php

/libraries/joomla/event/dispatcher.bench_bck.php

/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.bench_bck.php

They will be automatically restored on uninstall of this plugin.

This extension provide support for geolocation per IP address. It does not contain IP data within the installer, but rather a link to install them from the author - MaxMind.com. If you decide to use the GeoIP lite database, you must comply with MaxMind license.

All files in this extension are licensed under GPL license and are free to include in your extensions.

GeoLocator for Joomla is compatible with Joomla 1.5, Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7

This extension is an installer for MaxMind GeoIP Light Country database. It is focused on 3rd party extensions which require Geo Data by IP address.  

This extension does not bring any functionality to the web administrator and it's only function is to provide programatical and database interface for Geo Data.

It creates a table #__geodata with IP ranges and country codes. It is optimized to install with ajax and with compatibility in mind.

USAGE from your extensions:
